Want to be a skater, referee, non-skating official, or volunteer? Come to our open practice every Wednesday at the Clinton National Guard Armory to meet the teams and learn more about roller derby. The Magnolia Roller Vixens hold try-outs 2-4 times per calendar year. MRV will also hold pre-freshmeat bootcamps periodically. Please check back here or on our event calendar for dates.
Adult league members must be 18 years or older. Junior league members must be ages 12-17. All skaters must identify as female. Referees, NSOs, and volunteers can be male or female.
We encourage all of those interested in joining as a skater or referee to practice building basic skating skills by going to your local skating rink. It is also helpful to join as a volunteer or non-skating official until tryout time. This allows you to become more familiar with the sport of roller derby and our league.
